We are looking forward to welcoming you to Riverton Parke on Friday, February 14 for our 7th annual SPARC Conference!  We have an excellent line-up of presenters and session topics, and we hope you will leave the day inspired and excited about something that you’ve learned in your time with us.  Here are a few pieces of information in preparation for our day together!

4 Professional Growth Points are available for attending the SPARC Conference.  All attendees will receive a post-conference survey.  Completing the survey will trigger an email including your certificate.

What To Bring

You’ll want to bring a laptop, netbook or tablet to get the most out of the conference.  Many sessions are hands-on and encourage you to explore the tools they feature.  It will also give you access to virtual spaces where you can post questions and retrieve resources your presenters provide.

Southwest Parke staff should arrive at Riverton Parke by 8:10 for eLearning availability.  Our guest should plan to arrive between 8:30 and 8:50 to allow yourself time to pick up your name badge & goodies and find a seat.  We’ll begin promptly at 9:00. The conference will end at 2:30ish, but attendees are encouraged to remain for up to an additional hour in our “PLN Cafe” – connecting, collaborating and solving the world’s problems!  Refreshments will remain available and Southwest Parke staff should attend to eLearning communications during this time.

Door Prizes

We will give away some great prizes at the closing session.  You’ll receive door prize tickets you’ll enter into the drawings of your choice.  Earn more tickets throughout the day! You must be present to win, so don’t leave early!

If you are not familiar with Riverton Parke, we need to warn you that we are a very rural school. Vehicle GPS programs have been known to guide people well off course in trying to visit us!  Please visit the Getting Here page for a map that you can depend on, as well as hotel information if you will require Friday night accommodations.  Be advised that you will have some travel time even from the nearest hotel on Saturday morning!

Most information you might need is available on this conference website, but please feel free to e-mail Rachel Porter with any questions you may have.
