Do you find yourself tracking things like behaviors, bathroom passes, performance criteria, and so much more on numerous pieces of paper? Would you like to have a kiosk that parents can use to enter or update their personal information at back to school night rather than having them all fill out pieces of paper that you then have to enter into the computer? There must be a better way! Enter AppSheet, the easy way to make an Android or iOS app based on a Google Sheet with no coding! AppSheet takes your Google Sheet and automatically builds an app that allows you to input data into the sheet and update data that is already in the sheet. Imagine tracking behaviors and bathroom passes using an app! Imagine floating among groups during class and being able to score student behaviors/attitudes right on your cell phone or tablet, exactly the way you want to track them! In this session, we will examine some of the possible apps that can be created in AppSheet. The bulk of the session, however, will be spent on actually building a sample app together. You will leave this session having worked through the entire process of app creation and deployment and will have a simple app that you can use in your classroom! More importantly, you will have all of the knowledge necessary to build a custom app of your very own! Be sure to bring a computer and cell phone/tablet!
