Chad began teaching in 2003. In the fall of 2014, Chad was selected by the Indiana Department of Education as one of 25 teachers to be on a STEM curriculum writing team that wrote lessons utilizing new technology in the classroom. Through this experience, he met his fellow EdTech Heroes. And through EdTech Heroes, Chad has found a new passion. This new passion is sharing his techniques and educational ideology with fellow educators. He is a Google Level 2 Certified Educator and lists as his superpowers blending meaningful technology into his classroom, STEM education, energizing students through project-based learning, and ridding the world of boring professional development one conference at a time. Chad has presented at over 20 conferences around the state of Indiana including ICE, HECC, Matt Miller’s Ditch that Conference and recently was chosen to teach STEM in China in the summer of 2018. He is the founder of Wabash Valley Maker’s Fest which is a STEM conference for students and educators in his area of the state.
